Federal tax deposits are made through the Electronic Federal Tax Payment System (EFTPS). 941 tax deposits are generally paid on the 15th of the month after payroll has been distributed. (Payroll paid in January will have a federal tax deposit due on the 15th of February and so on). This payment schedule is for “monthly depositors.” 940 payments, if under $500.00 per year, are due on January 31st of the following year.

All Nevada companies starting a business in Nevada with employees must pay unemployment tax on the first $31,200.00 (for 2019) of each employees wages at a rate of 2.95% and .05 percent for the Career Enhancement Program (CEP).
